Foreign Candidates Application Instructions

Below are the steps needed for a person with a foreign degree to apply for a position within Kentucky State Government.

If the person is applying for an engineering related position, they must verify their degree with Engineering Credentials Evaluation International (ECEI). This is the ONLY evaluation service that is acceptable for engineering degrees, per the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.

Engineering Credentials Evaluation International
211 East Lombard St., # 357
Baltimore, MD 21202
410-347-7738
410-625-2238 (Fax)

After they have received this evaluation, the person needs to deliver the evaluation and a completed application form to the Personnel Cabinet.

Once these two steps are completed, the person would be eligible to be placed on different registers for which they qualify.

If the person is applying for positions requiring nonengineering degrees, they should get their education verified through the:

Worldwide Education Services Inc.
P.O. Box 745
Old Chelsea Station
New York, NY 10113-0745
212-966-6311
212-966-6395 (Fax)
e-mail:  info@wes.org

After they have received this evaluation, the person needs to deliver the evaluation and a completed application form to the Personnel Cabinet.

Once these two steps are completed, the person would be eligible to be placed on different registers for which they qualify.
